Tiny Treasures

Building a Music and Dramatic Arts Curriculum from the Ground Up

THE CONTEXT

Tiny Treasures is a wellness daycare in New York dedicated to the earliest years of childhood — babies, toddlers, and preschoolers. Rooted in a philosophy of warmth, safety, and imagination, they wanted to elevate their offering with a specialized arts curriculum that would support cognitive development while making learning genuinely joyful.

THE CHALLENGE

Most early childhood arts programs are either too passive — children watching rather than doing — or too structured to leave room for genuine creative expression. Tiny Treasures needed a curriculum that would meet very young children exactly where they are: sensory, playful, embodied, and hungry for story.

WHAT WE BUILT

I designed, directed, and taught a music and dramatic arts curriculum for children ages 0–5, rooted in the idea that the classroom can become a stage of discovery. The program centered on original role-play, multisensory storytelling, classical music integration, and sensory activities — each designed to develop foundational cognitive, social, and creative skills while feeling like pure play.

Children became the protagonists of rich, imaginative narratives — building language, self-confidence, and emotional awareness through doing, not watching. Classical music was woven throughout, not as background but as an active learning tool, training attention and emotional response from the earliest months.

THE OUTCOME

The curriculum became a core part of Tiny Treasures' program identity — and laid the groundwork for TINY, the EdTech platform developed in partnership with the school's leadership team to bring this approach to families at home.
